Joseph Palanca, P.E.

Joe Palanca has over 18 years of experience as an expert witness and design professional, specializing in HVAC and plumbing systems.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from San Diego State University and a certification in HVAC Systems Design and Controls from the University of California, San Diego. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in 14 states.

Joe has considerable experience in the design and construction-phase design administration for hospital projects. He is experienced in all types of HVAC, plumbing, controls and energy management systems.

Joe joined the Ivey Engineering team in 2012. His expert witness responsibilities include forensic analysis, site inspections, calculations, product analysis, research and testing. He also provides reports and testifies in legal matters as an expert.

Joe designs HVAC and plumbing systems for new buildings and for existing building repair projects. His project work includes high-rise and mid-rise residential buildings and various commercial facilities.
