Scott Friesen, P.E.

President

Scott Friesen joined IEI in 2010 and is a licensed Professional Engineer in 17 states and three Canadian provinces. He has over 20 years of experience in the design, construction administration and forensic analysis of mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and energy management systems for commercial, institutional and residential projects.

Scott has also performed project commissioning, energy audits and has been involved in marketing and business development.

He holds various designations, including LEED certification (CaGBC), Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD).

As president and CEO, Scott’s primary responsibilities include firm management and forensic analysis of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and energy management systems. He performs site inspections, testing, research, product analysis and cost estimating. Scott has testified in numerous depositions and several trials.
