Kevin Hastings, P.E., a senior consultant at IEI, is licensed in 12 states. His background includes over 20 years of experience in mechanical control systems and maintenance, installation of HVAC systems, and inspection and design of plumbing and HVAC systems. He is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) and a Certified Carbon Monoxide & Combustion Analyst. Kevin’s responsibilities at IEI include design, forensic analysis and expert witness consulting for HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.

Bill Ivey P.E., is founder and president of the firm, with over 40 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, piping and fire-protection design, and construction. He is a licensed engineer in 10 states and has over 20 years of experience working for contractors and bidding and managing construction projects. He also serves as an expert witness in construction litigation matters.

Joe Palanca, P.E., a senior consultant at IEI, has over 18 years of HVAC and plumbing systems design and forensic consulting experience. He holds a Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) designation and is a Certified Carbon Monoxide & Combustion Analyst. Joe’s role at IEI includes system design, forensic analysis and expert witness consulting. He is a licensed engineer in 14 states.

David Shreve, P.E., a senior consultant, is a LEED accredited professional and holds a CPD designation. He is a licensed engineer in 20 states. David has over 35 years of design and construction administration experience, including mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and energy management systems projects. At IEI, he provides design and forensic analysis of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and energy management systems. In addition, he serves as an expert witness in litigation matters.
