Ivey Engineering, Inc. (IEI) has investigated approximately 500 projects for defects in the construction of HVAC (Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning), plumbing, electrical, energy conservation and fire suppression systems. The projects were residential and commercial. They were located in California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Washington, Oregon, Texas, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Hawaii. The investigations have been on behalf of plaintiffs, defendants and as neutral experts.
IEI has assisted clients with preparation, defense and negotiation of construction claims for approximately 30 projects. The projects have included hospitals, convention centers, schools, detention facilities, hotels, manufacturing plants and office buildings.
The firm has provided consulting and expert witness work on approximately 25 product liability cases including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire suppression and piping products.
IEI has provided consulting to both plaintiff and defendant clients on approximately 30 property damage cases. These cases involved either water or fire damage.
Of over 800 cases for which IEI has provided forensic and expert witness consulting, approximately 40 were personal injury allegations. These allegations included mold, second-hand smoke, carbon monoxide, airborne fibers, slip and fall, scalding, burns and explosions.
IEI has provided forensic and expert witness consulting for approximately 30 cases including allegations of design errors and omissions.
The firm has provided cost consulting and estimating for approximately 40 projects. The projects were commercial, industrial and residential.
IEI has performed design work on approximately 100 projects. The projects include office buildings, military facilities, institutional buildings, retail facilities and restaurants.
