
Ron Withall is one of the newest members of the Ivey Engineering team. Ron joined the IEI consulting team last summer, after having served as president and CEO of MC Consultants. He holds certifications in CCM, CPC, LEED and AP. With a decade of consulting experience and over 30 years of experience as a builder, Ron brings his expertise in construction and construction consulting to Ivey Engineering.

As a specialist in general construction and construction management, Ron adds a new dimension to the IEI team of professionals, expanding its existing line of services to now include general construction and construction management consulting, and expert-witness testimony.
Ron and his wife Dana are long time residents of Carlsbad, Calif., and have two sons, Ryan and Chris. Ron is an avid weekend cyclist and takes full advantage of the fabulous San Diego weather and the beautiful North County coastline.
His family has been actively involved in musical theater in San Diego for 15 years. Ron and his wife have served on the musical production teams and boards of several well-known local theater and school music organizations.
INDUSTRY ADVANCEMENT
Congratulations to Martin Trim and Scott Friesen, project managers at Ivey Engineering, for passing the exam and receiving their Professional
Engineering license for the State of California. Martin now adds this new professional registration to his certifications in Plumbing Design (CPD), as a LEED, AP and journeyman plumber and gas fitter. Scott also holds certifications in LEED, AP, CPD and is a Certified Energy Manager.

Congratulations to William Ivey, principal of IEI, for his appointment to the International Mechanical Code Development Committee for the 2009-2010 code cycle.

IEI continues to investigate failure of leaking drain pipes in several metropolitan high-rise properties.
SCALDING CLAIMS
IEI was retained to investigate the tragic death of a person who was found dead in a bathroom shower.
MIDDLE EAST PROJECT
IEI was retained as experts in a Federal Court case involving a dispute between a plumbing contractor and a well-known U.S. government contractor on a project in a Middle Eastern country.
LEAKING PIPES
IEI was recently engaged to investigate the leaking of a potable water system that had been previously reconditioned with an epoxy type lining.
SPA TREATMENT
IEI was hired to investigate plumbing defect claims at a luxury resort.
HOT WATER
IEI is working to solve hot water recirculation problems in a residential project for a large senior housing
developer.
TRASH TALK
IEI was retained to address sheet metal and ventilation construction defect claims by a waste facility operator.
