
Mr. Ashoor graduated from the University of Technology in Baghdad, Iraq in 1972 with a BS degree in mechanical engineering. He has worked in the design and construction of HVAC, plumbing and piping systems for over 25 years. He has been involved in the design and construction of HVAC, plumbing and piping for commercial, residential, institutional, educational, industrial and military facilities.
In 1990, he and his family immigrated to the United States and are now citizens. From 1990 to 1994, Wahab attended school in San Diego. He took classes in CAD, HVAC design, HVAC control, and plumbing design, for which he earned an associate degree.
Wahab joined a San Diego heating and air conditioning construction company in 1995. He was responsible for cost estimating, material takeoffs, bidding and design. The firm specialized in design and construction of HVAC projects.
In 1997, Wahab joined Ivey Engineering as a mechanical engineer. In 2008 he passed the California EIT examination, the first step to become a licensed professional engineer. He is also a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Certified Testing, Adjusting and Balancing Professional (CTAB). Wahab performs design work, calculations and CAD drafting. He also assists in the firms' forensic work.
