Martin Trim has worked in the plumbing and HVAC industry for approximately 15 years. He earned a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering from the University of Calgary in 2007. He is also a journeyman plumber and gas fitter and has obtained the Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) certification from the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE). Martin is also a LEED accredited professional. He became a licensed professional engineer (PE) in July 2010.
Martin has experience in service, installation, design, and construction management of mechanical and plumbing systems. His experience includes both residential and commercial systems. He spent 11 years in the plumbing and gas fitting trades working for contractors. Since graduating from the University of Calgary, he has designed plumbing and HVAC systems and performed forensic work. Martin is a member of ASPE, American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE).
Martin joined Ivey Engineering in 2009. His responsibilities include forensic investigation, site inspections, calculations, product analysis, testing, research and report writing. He also performs plumbing, fire protection and HVAC design.
