Kevin Hastings holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and is a licensed professional engineer. He graduated from California Polytechnic State University in June 2003 and became a licensed professional engineer in 2008 by completing the California experience and examination requirements.
During college, Kevin gained experience in mechanical control systems, composite materials and ventilation design. He also worked as an engineering assistant with Cal Poly building services where he monitored and maintained HVAC systems. He also has experience in commercial and residential HVAC installation and ductwork design. Kevin is a member of IAPMO (International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials), ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers), ASPE (American Society of Plumbing Engineers) and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association).
Kevin joined the Ivey Engineering team in 2004. His responsibilities include design of HVAC, plumbing and piping systems, calculations, CAD drafting and forensic analysis. He also performs site inspections, testing, research, product analysis and cost estimating.
