Adam Vaczek has over 30 years of experience in the HVAC and plumbing industry. His past job responsibilities include servicing and replacing chillers, pumps, water source condenser loops, rooftop ventilating and cooling/heating systems, pneumatic and digital building control systems; diagnostics of HVAC systems for commercial buildings; project management and other HVAC and plumbing issues. He worked as service manager and operations manager for a large mechanical contractor.
Adam attended trade school and obtained a certificate in HVAC service and repair and holds a bachelor's degree in music from Long Island University. He has attended dozens of technical seminars and classes during the course of his career and holds factory certifications from Carrier, Trane, McQuay, ABB, Honeywell, Bell and Gossett, Raypak, Lochinvar and BAC.
Adam joined Ivey Engineering in 2011. His responsibilities include forensic analysis of HVAC, plumbing and energy-management systems. He performs site inspections, testing, research, product analysis, cost estimating and is responsible for writing reports and testifying in depositions, hearings and trials.
Adam has performed thousands of repairs and replacements of mechanical equipment during his career. He has also been responsible for solving building problems, ranging from odors and sounds to poor equipment performance, sick building syndrome, IAQ issues, design problems, energy consumption problems, thermal zoning issues and new technology failures.
